Comfortable in Your Skin

My apologies for such a long time in between posts. The last few weeks have knocked the stuffing out of me. But today I find myself in one of my favorite places on earth. It is where Mr. H and I go to recharge and where everything is greeted with a “no problem”. As humans on earth, I know you can relate to what a rare thing this can be.
Another rare thing I recently discovered at my beloved hideaway is a rather excellent approach to handling the inevitable wear and tear that occurs as anything ages: not hiding the flaw, but making it a part of design. This place is nearing 20 years old, and in its quest for perfection (which they pretty much nail each and every time), even a crack in the pavement becomes an opportunity to evolve:
Some might think of this as trying to “hide” age, but I kind of like decorating the wear and tear. It proclaims: “I’ve been around for a little while and it is a part of me. So why hide it when I can just be good with it? ” I think I will try to get good with it, too.
xx
