Wonder Woman!!!

The best costume of my childhood was worn by Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman. It was to die for: The cut of her Superhero Bathing Suit*, the fierce boots and most of all, the accessories. Especially the cuffs. They were awesome. And I totally wanted a set of my own.
It turns out that these cuffs are highly desirable not only by me, as my almost-four-year-old Goddaughter is also obsessed with them. (Who knew her Mom was also a fan?) Being well under 40, she is able to merrily wear a set that her Mom made for her. Me, not so much. So imagine my delight when this popped up on the “What’s New” page of Net-a-Porter recently:
It is a brass cuff by Kelly Wearstler, who is apparently expanding her interior design and licensing business into jewelry. She is also obviously into the Wonder Woman look.
Sucker weighs a ton and it is kind of hard to put on and take off, but maybe that is why Wonder Woman never took her set off unless she was under cover…

* I honestly can’t think of anything else to call it. Ginger Spice had one, too, and it was pretty cool. As a non-performer and non-Superhero, the closest I can get to the look is a seaweed green Eres one-piece with that very distinct leg cut. I recommend.
